The Neighborhood Language Partnership

The Neighborhood Language Partnership is a growing part of the After-school Language Program. Through the Partnership, the Global Language Project enlists the involvement of businesses and organizations in local, multilingual communities to help students practice the languages they are learning, mentor students in correct language usage, and support the development of the Project's work. Activities of the Partnership include:

• Field-trip visits to organizations and businesses, allowing students to practice their language skills with native speakers
• Presentations by multilingual organizations about their language and culture
• Donations of language-learning materials to aid instruction
• Discounts on services and products to students and families of the program
