Campus Volunteer Internship

Global Language Project is seeking interns to assist in the oversight of the various after-school programs the organization runs throughout New York City and Providence, RI. The position entails visiting an after-school program and assisting instructors with preparation of resources for lesson plans, assisting in bringing students to the classroom, helping instructors gather materials after classes, providing instructors with resources they may need from our central supply station, and having certain materials prepared for instructors in advance.

Note: This is an unpaid position, however the interns are provided with the valuable experience of seeing how a start-up non-profit is run.

Global Language Project (GLP) is an innovative educational organization. We equip disadvantaged elementary public school students to compete in a globalized world and workforce by providing a comprehensive language-training program aimed at helping them achieve fluency in a language other than English. We work with the belief that learning a foreign language helps students in their overall cognitive development and broadens their opportunities in higher education and the global workforce.

Location: New York, NY or Cranston, RI

Hours per week: 20

Compensation: Unpaid
